Good Behavior

Interview with Ryan, Alex, George and John

JM: Did you get off early based on good behavior?
Ryan: YES
Alex: Yes about 5 months off.
George: NO
John: because my charges are not violent, abusive, drunk driving or drug related, i normally get the standard 33 percent off.

JM: What is the most time off you can receive for good behavior?
Ryan: 1/3 RD OFF WAS MAX
Alex: In pierce county its 33% unless they "lotto" you out due to overcrowding (very very common).
George: 1/3 OFF
John: in my case, its always possible to hit the lotto. it depends solely on the jail's population and the charges.

JM: What types of actions do you need to avoid in order to get time off? Did you ever witness somebody losing time off for good behavior?
Ryan: FIGHTS, NOT FOLLOWING RULES
Alex: You have to have committed a non violent crime and not a DUI and no infractions while in custody.
George: GETTING IN TROUBLE
John: pissing off the staff and simply being juvenile while in custody.
